happy halloween 2016 aboard clearwater

one of the most bizarre and beautiful and freeing sails i’ve had on the good sloop clearwater was this past halloween. after various disasters the night before, and my own good sloop being hauled out of the water earlier that day at hideaway marina, this community was still as exuberant and welcoming as ever.

the idea was to costume as the lost boys. no, not from the 80s vampire movie, as i thought. the crew watched many versions of peter pan to prepare for their roles, but deemed each one after the other too racist to be viewable. still, they pulled it off in their own loving style. and i was thrilled to join them as a lost boy on their last passenger sail of the season.
